Alexander Wilson
PhD Student in Sociology, University of Toronto
I am a PhD student in Sociology at the University of Toronto. I study how new technologies change work and social stratification.
My projects have dealt with how AI exposure shapes career transitions, how workers interpret automation as a threat to their livelihoods, and how workers defend their occupational identities from technological threat.
Before starting my PhD, I completed an Honours BA in Sociology at the University of British Columbia and an MA in Sociology at the University of Toronto.
